I remember a YTV production which starred Anthony Perkins, and recall that it was something to do with the IRA rather than the Cold War.Lots of locations in Leeds but the only one I remember is St Paul's Street. And I can't remember Richard Attenborough being in it either. Not a great deal of help but it gets the ball rolling.

Googled 'Yorkshire Television Anthony Perkins' and among the responses was Geordie's above.Had a look at the filming locations listing on the page and you've got it - Leeds is not even listed, let alone any particular location in and around the city.

I remember the Bonded warehouse on Junction Street Hunslet was used as part of the Berlin Wall it was the way to our depot at the old gas yard and one of my mates actually went and asked one of the production crew what was going on. I also had a colleague who's wife was on the staff at Dragonara Hotel where Richard Attenborough was staying and he told us about one of his habits that I couldn’t put down on here for fear of liable, I have a feeling he may have had something to do with the production side of things. The only other thing I remember was that Harry's Game was filmed partly in Leeds they used another colleagues house in Headingley to film outside of but I don’t think that had owt to do with the Berlin Wall Don’t age play havoc with the memory.

Didn't trust the link Phill offered - nothing personal Phill - but have just watched the ten minutes or so from YouTube.I had obviously also forgotten what a pile of utter drivel 'The Glory Boys' was.How Rod Steiger went from a masterpiece like 'In the Heat of the Night' to whatever YTV told him he was getting into in fifteen years is a complete mystery. Can't we just forget that the film ever had anything to do with Leeds? At least Morley's not anywhere near it.
