SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

Does anyone remember a card game called "Storthes Hall Whist" which I think was based on this place http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storthes_HallI remember playing this game which was hilarious. You needed two packs of cards to play it, but after all these years I have forgotten how!

After reading that wiki page I now have a vision of the poker game played in the One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest movie.Canasta is the only game I can think of played with 2 decks and there's Kalooki which is played with 2 or even 3 decks.

Thanks Chrism. I will have to look those games up. All I can remember is that you had a heap of cards to hold and if you picked up say an 8 or a 2 you picked up the cards in the middle, or passed so many cards to the next person.
