On the local news section of BBC Text service it reports today (April 27 2012) that Leeds City Council (LCC) have chosen 5 sites, one of which is to become the large Leeds Casino. The sites are Eastgate, Quarry Hill, Leeds United Football Ground, Clarence Dock and City Square. Local residents have until May 24 2012 to make their views known. A decision as to where the Casino will be is expected to be made by LCC in spring 2013.

Yes agreed it does, but also if Elland Road gets it the West stand will be redeveloped into a top class stadium capable of hosting many big games. The revenue and status from that proposal is far better for the City as a whole in my opinion. It would put Leeds more on the map than any of the other four proposals, and that's why I think the council will do their usual competence and pick the worst bid for the City.I do hope they don't let the long suffering residents of this City down once again!!All we would need is a decent football team to play in a great stadium then. I think that is too much to ask for with the current climate and the way UTD are run at the moment.

Elland road seems to be a good spot for it. They have cleared the land behind the Geldard End so the whole site could be regenerated to promote jobs in Beeston and Holbeck.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad

They should keep the casinos in Las Vegas
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

A mega-casino, just what we need! (And I'm being sarcastic).
