I am just remember the day that me & dsco turned Secret Leeds on & sat back, worrying that no one would be interested (ha!). We had set up / already written a couple of threads to post up but in the end really didn't need to!Can you remember what the first post that you wrote / read on the website was?

the first thread I read (and the reason I joined) was about the "Dripping Riot" and someone remebering the programme on Radio 4 I took part in about it.I then joined the site and it was all downhill from there <G>.

It took me six months to post after I joined, and for some reason the subject which brought me out of my shell was a memory of having Gentian Violet painted on my knees in the old dispensary! It clearly wasn't a grand entrance for me, as that post ended the thread....

I can't remember the first message I posted, but the first threads I started were "Pudsey Park" and "Dialect/Slang." I remember from the early days a long thread about rail bridges over Wellington Road being argued about by Drapesy and Phill.d.And of course the heady days of the Skulls thread. ('Scuse pun!)

I can't remember the first post I ever made. But I recall our blind date we had in the Queens Arms before the S.L site went live Munki. It seems a long time ago now

Came across the site by accident shortly after its birth, read posts for days then plucked up courage to join and post something, sitting back waiting to be terminated - I'd seen the teacher's firm words putting folk in line with the way they wanted it to work!It was the way to go and set a firm foundation for a site where the wealth of knowledge must be unique, so many people with their own memories, experiences and results of hours of research they've felt compelled to undertake, having being bitten by the 'bug', recorded for others to read. Not as many deep threads these days though I'm sure there must be lots out there still to discver - and older threads so often reemerge with more and more info.

While looking for info about the Adel Woods bunker and followed a link from another website to SL.I think my first post was about Albion Street.

Mine was about my favourite Leeds building... the Bridge House.
