Would it be possible to have the Moderators and Admin identified under our usernames instead of just user? This would also help peeps to know who's who on the site. Also it might help admin in identifying the person who's accidentally or purposely closing threads. I have wanted to post in some recent threads only to find them MARKED AS 'DONE'. Saying that I have just discovered that if I post a new message it opens them again. Is that only available to us Mods or can anyone else do it?Ta.
Sit thissen dahn an' tell us abaht it.

Chris, if you've been following events you will know there have been some strange things happening though we know some of the closed threads were actioned intentionally by posters. A thread closed in that way can be easily opened, making closure rather pointless. With regard to user roles, Admin have been looking into this for some time now but seemingly there are difficulties one way or another, though it would help everyone - we'll have to wait and see

Hi Chris!I too think identifying the mods would be a good idea, and I've just added a new message to see if I could open a 'closed thread' and it seems anyone can open them. Moderator or not! There seems no way to close a thread though apart from ones started by yourself.

It seems anyone can reopen a closed thread again Jogon by adding a message to it. I've just done it, and I've no mod or admin powers

I can only repeat that it would be useful in many ways, particularly in allowing newcomers to know who is who, but that rets with admin finding an appropriate way to change things.

I take umbrage at being labelled a 'user'
