The late great Jake Thackray lived near me off Spen Lane near Queenswood Drive. Now he WAS funny and is sadly missed. The Grumbleweeds are still around as well. Saw Maurice Grumbleweed perform solo about 3 years ago. Still had his very dry sense of humour. Weren't they all from the Meanwood area?
