Small unnamed yard off Central Road near Duncan Street.

The photo (which I took on December 16 2011) shows a view into the gated small unnamed yard off Central Road on the left just before and looking to Duncan Street. This yard does not seem to be there in maps in the Old Maps UK website up to 1894 but seems to be there in a 1908 map and is definitely there in a 1910 map. It is not often I get to see into gated yards in the centre of Leeds and it was by chance that I saw this one (I think the refuse collectors were due or had been). It may not be a significant yard in the history of Leeds but I think it is of interest (well I hope so! ). Dunno if it has a name, just 'a back passage'saw this leafing duncan st on geohttp://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2738139there are two other even bigger (gated) back passages - one is round the corner from this location, oppo the side entrance to the wholefood shop, and is the rear access to yard back of Lil Tokyo/the 'next block' on new market st.the other used to be access to via bottom of Albion St / buildings fronting Boar La, tho think that may have been Trinitied.
