Leeds road with the greatest height range from its lowest to highest point

The 'Steepest street in Leeds?' thread has made me wonder which road has the greatest height range difference from its lowest to its highest point? I only mean roads that are in the Leeds City limit, so if a road crosses that boundary it is only the stretch inside that I mean. The road needs not be the steepest or have the steepest bit. It also needs not be the lowest and/or highest road in Leeds.Scott Hall Road has a large difference in its height range such that in winter it can be fine at Sheepscar but getting ever wintry as you go higher up that road.

Or Wetherby Road, or York Road?Or what about Selby Road as it crests Garforth Cliff? Still in Leeds and with a dominating view across the city. According to Wiki (therefore indisputably correct), the highest point in Leeds is where the boundary touches the edge of Ilkley Moor. Possibly that makes the A65 (various, inc Kirkstall Road) the road to beat?

Elland Road. Finishes at its junction with Victoria Road and Church Street in Morley, starts these days somewhere around the football ground.

If we're counting "Leeds" as just the old city boundary then yes, but if we're counting Morley, Pudsey, Otley, Wetherby, Rothwell then no. I'd have thought Gelderd Road must also come into consideration. It starts at the old cattle Market and continues more or less uphill all the way to Gildersome Cross Roads.Incidentally I believe it keeps the same name all the way to the Three Nuns junction at Mirfield - I wonder how many roads in this country are as long under the same name.

My meaning of Leeds when I started this thread was the city inside the boundary of Leeds before the reorganisation into the Leeds Metropolitan District (LMD) on April 1st 1974 (i.e. before such as Morley, Otley and Wetherby were placed in the new LMD).I appreciate that without defining what area I actually meant in my first post then to simply say Leeds is vague. Sorry for any confusion that I may have caused anyone.

For ai while whilst training for my ride up Chimney Bank, I would search for the steepest street around and then I tried to calculate which was steepest using Map My Run - which allowed me to p;ace a point at the bottom of a street and place one at the top. I could then get both the distance and the elevation gained. By using these figures you should be able to work out the steepest street - if you are willing to do this for every contender. I think it is a flawed plan but it would give an idea - much simpler is to cycle up and gauge how hard it was and what gear you had to resort to use!
