I took this photo today (September 6 2011). It shows part of Park Cross Street looking towards the Town Hall. It was the large size of the tree that caught my eye. There are not many large trees in the centre of Leeds and this one may be at least one of the largest. It is a surprise (but a nice one) that it is being allowed to grow so large.

A rainbow is a ribbon that Nature puts on when she washes her hair.

It is indeed a beautiful tree, but will its roots not be a hazard to the foundations of the adjacent buildings as it seems a very robust tree ??
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
