I rode through Leeds a couple of weeks ago, heading through Hunslet, past Glanfield Lawrence (or whatever the Vauxhall dealer's called now)And, on turning right up Crown Point Road, I was most surprised to see that the building that was 'Foto Processing' (later; 'Klick') had changed.Has the original building been demolished, or is it just a new fascia???As I was on the bike, & watching traffic. together with coned-off areas, I couldn't really have a good look at it.

Aye, as Bramley says, it's a completely new building.The former Foto Processing was demolished and the new premises erected in double quick time.On a related note, a 'no left turn' sign has been erected at the end of Kidacre Street (behind the above mentioned building), where it meets Leathley Road, meaning that if you want to go from Crown Point to Hunslet Road heading out of Leeds or (for example) Costco, you either have to do either a full circuit of the tortuous Meadow Lane gyratory or go round the houses via Jack Lane, Grape Street and Pearson Street.Or ignore the sign as most people seem to be doing...

I walk past that building every day on my way to work and it is certainly not a new building. The developers removed the fascia and the roof, and put in new steels, however the slab and back wall are all the same as before. You can tell from the bricked up windows and doors in the back wall. There's no sign of what it is to become though. Maybe more retail to help congestion on saturday afternoons?

Oh for the days of B/W Panatomic - X ....... perhaps

Interesting, I worked there for a few years, whilst it was still 'F-P' & was all owned (including the shops) by one man!Digital photography was on its way, but not considered a threatAPS was still thought of as 'the next big advance'!!'F-P' had previously had its roots at a building in Bradford, with the owner/'founding father' starting off by processign films for fellow students whilst at University (Manchester, I believe?) sirjohn wrote: You can tell from the bricked up windows and doors in the back wall. Definately NOT demolished or new, its just being tarted up, gonna be a bed place apparently.
