Did not realise that the Guisely based Silver Cross prambulator Company that was known around the world was founded in Hunslet around 1876.

We had a Silver Cross in the 60's - magnificent coach built thing it was, all cream coloured and chrome. The advent of "motoring for everyone" saw its demise, they were nearly as big as some of the new cars which came on the market around that time and wouldn't fit in the boot. Lovely pram though.
