New programme starting on Channel 4 10.00 p.m. tonight, "Sirens". Think it's a comedy-drama about an A & E Response team, filmed in and around Leeds. Might be worth a try.

I'll give it a try - the books it is loosely based on (Blood, Sweat and Teas) are a great read, although the adverts suggest that the series is aiming for a very dark comedy feel. As with A Touch Of Frost, it will be worth a look to spot some local locations.

'Blood sweat & Tea' are indeed great books, and I'm sure the 'Drunk-Mobile' drivers that visit us every day could also write their own versionMight not stop up to watch it (feeling tired & dehydrated after todays run to/from work), but will watch it later on '4 On Demand'

3 x two second shots of the A58m does not a location shoot make. It was quite good though.

I thought the show was OK, with the promise of more to come.It didn't have the instant grab of Life On Mars (for example) but I'll give it a couple more weeks to make an impression.Anyone know where the hospital is?

Really getting into this show now, it's improving by the episode. The location used for the hospital is the former British Gas HQ alongside the Inner Ring Road - they were on the roof and you could see the Kremlin in the background. One thing I have learned through watching the show is that to get anywhere in Leeds you must drive past the Corn Exchange at least twice and then go along Sweet Street before heading up East Parade and then back along Sweet Street in the opposite direction...especially if you are going anywhere near Woodhouse Moor
