I work away from home and often want to check up what is happening locally, but the BBC Leeds site has 2-3 stories at most and seems to be one of the most illogical sites. Same with the main site.Find Sky news much better and have to use the YEP site for local news but is always out of date.Is it just me??

YEP has pretty much the full days news on it by mid morning. You have to wonder why anyone buys the paper.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, the local news sites have been on a skeleton service since Siemens lost the support contract for the BBC in about April so the only things that get updated at the weekend are sports reports.Prior to that, the local sites scaled back their news coverage and started linking to other local news services at the time of the last licence review to avoid accusations of competition.
