"Middleton", I thought, "that's in Leeds. Wonder if Kate's old man's ancestors hailed from there? Nah, daft idea. Must be hundreds of places called Middleton in England. Could be any of them." Then I pick up The Times this morning and, lo and behold, it tells me her old man grew up in Leeds, and many of his forebears were Yorkshire people too. Used to visit my Uncle Clifford in Middleton. Never realised I was walking on such hallowed ground.Does this mean we all get season tickets to Buck House garden parties?

Middletons associated with Potternewton/Chapel Alerton and by marrage to the Lupton family of Beechwood and surrounds of Asket Hill.We touched on the latter family in the Asket Hill threads I think.
