With all the talk about employment or lack of it I was curious about the trades or jobs carried out by Leeds folk in the past. I know around Wortley weaving was very big in the past both wool and linen. I can recall seeing a chimney sweep when I was a kid but can anyone think of other trades or jobs that are no longer seen in Leeds. I suspect the cooper's job has gone since Tetley stopped producing beer in Leeds.
