Well it says Costcutter above the door, in what used to be the Haddon, but someone should sue under the trades description act!Aside from already having 3 corner shops, a Spa, and a 7-11 thingy within 5 minutes walk, and Iceland and Netto through the day, this place is even more expensive than the other 'convenience' stores. My next door neighbour went in once and said he wasn;t going back. I went in once too and for the prices there's no reason to bother, even while i was in there people were telling the poor lass on the checkout that the place won't last long at this rate because it's too expensive.Looks like they're sticking some more take-aways in that site as well, not that there isn;t enough of those either.

The link below will (hopefully!) bring up page 13 in an older thread that has some messages and images about the closure of Haddon Hall to become a Costcutter.http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... age=300P.S. There is a Costcutter near me and it is expensive, so I rarely ever use it as it is easy enough to go into Leeds to Morrison's. If the free bus pass is taken away then things could however change.

Thanks for that, I must have missed it in the pubs now closing thread. I think Costcutter just means cutting the cost of travelling to a cheaper shop. he he he
