Surprised at the hygiene 'black mark'!!Slightly 'closer to home'Has anyone else ever noticed the 'coaching bell' behind the courtyard gates & the 'Licenced to Let Post Horses' sign??Also....It's stated that 'The Arabian Horse', a bit further up the (route of (the) Great North Road, through the village is the only pub by that name in the country. Is that indeed true??See images here, from my 'www'http://travel.webshots.com/photo/129702 ... 9372GjRzhs

To be fair to the Swan at Aberford, the actual offences happened some time ago, allegedly under a different management team and it has (reportedly) taken an age to get to court. The people currently running things are said to be less than impressed at sorting out all the concerns and then getting a load of negative press.Everyone I know who has eaten there sings it's praises very highly.Mind you, I really enjoyed a meal at Pizza Mania on City Square about 3 days before the council raided it and slapped a closure order on the kitchens, so what do I know..?

As 'Del Boy'said to uncle Albert/Rodney - Let's get down the Indian before the health inspector.
