There's a good new book about 'the hidden, secret histories of Leeds'. It's edited by Tom Palmer and is called THE BOOK OF LEEDS. It's in Waterstone's at the moment and is also on Amazon. There's many great stories in it, including ones from Tony Harrison and David Peace, the author of THE DAMNED UNITED. There's a good story from Tom Palmer about Leeds United in the 1980s.

Aspects of Leeds edited by Lynn Stevenson TateISBN: 978-1871647389 There's a particularly good chapter about the history of Woodhouse Moor with loads of little known facts alongside the usual stuff. For example, who knew that this used to sit on the corner of Raglan Road and Woodhouse Moor.
