Just watching last nights first episode and I have already spotted a vintage Yorkshire Rider Leyland Olympian and current Metro bus stops. I've not recognised any locations though. I think it's meant to be set in Grimsby but perhaps some of it was filmed round here? The original film was filmed in Nottingham I think.Anyone have any ideas?

Much of the series was filmed around the Gleadless Valley area of Sheffield.

What is the plot suppossed to be about, as I can't really tell from the excerpts that I've seen? I'm not sure if it is meant to be a fact based drama or a fictional story.
