I've just noticed in the earthquakes section in the British Geological Survey website that there was a 1.6 magnitude earthquake 6 km north of Tadcaster on August 28th. Oh and there was a 1.6 one near Leyburn yesterday and a 3.2 one today in the North Sea. The sites are rather close to Leeds (well Tadcaster is). Admittedly a 1.6 magnitude is nothing in global terms but is uncommon around here!
