Some interesting pieces on show at Leeds Town Hall tonight, together with a good introduction on its history.

I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of the interior myself but we were lucky to get the glimpses broadcast i suppose. I liked the Arthur Lowe lookalike who brought in a heavy wine glass that turned out to be worth four grand! The expression on his face said it all. IMO one of the best AR moments ever!

Aye, my grandparents used to tell that one as well. apparently the lions originally were part of the great exhibition in Crystal palace, but were moved to Leeds after the whole thing was scrapped. ..
