It's probably nothing...but!I've noticed this unusual construction in the wall of the car park of the Fforde Greene pub a while ago. I pass it regular and still can't really guess what it could be. It's square brickwork that looks hollow inside, It has air grates in it that suggests some kind of vent perhaps? I have seen these types of random brick vents dotted about before, but not built into a brick wall. Anyway i'll post the Google street view of it, I'm sure someone will come up trumps with the answer.
http://snipurl.com/uayv5It's the square brickwork on the corner with the concrete cap on, it's probably nothing, but you never know

I've also just noticed there is a definite difference in brickwork on the other side of the wall, there looks to be stone or concrete coping stones with a newer wall built on top perhaps?

Just found this pic on Leodis of the trams and terminus at Easterly road, What a pity it isn't about 10 feet further down!

I've just found a 1929 picture of the bottom of Easterly road, it's in the distance and very small, but is the brick object part of those toilets? it looks to be in the same spot as the air vent is today. And there looks to be '2 stacks'??? on top of it??Also the Clock buildings look very different in those days, It's a grass slope where the Fforde Green car park should be as well.
