It's funny that, because I always used to have to log in, but after all the kerfuffle (good word that) the other week I now don't.

Somewhere in your growser there will be a chance to change this setting, tell us what browser you're using (explorer or what ever) AND the version and we should be able to tell you where to look, if this is the problem

Arry, think as your machine is fairly new, you'll be using Internet Exploer 7, can you say if it is?

Right Arry, this might be it I think -In expolorer, click on Tools on the top menu bar under where the address goes. From the menu, choose Internet Options. At the top of this new menu there are7 tabs - the last one is 'Advanced' - click on it.Now you have a whole new menu box of even more gobbly gook, scroll down until you reach a heading which says 'Security'.Go slowly down the list underneath until you find 'Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder when browser is closed'.Does it have a tick against it? If it does, take it out and close the options window.Close Explorer and reopen, log into SL (tick remember me of course), then when in, close it again (ever decreasing circles???) and it should () remember you.If all that doesn't work, the circles got too small and we both disapeared you know where!Give it a go.

Just a general note to Arry and others - for safe surfing, use Internet Explorer 8, not 7.See the latest vulnerability:http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/bl ... ity-flawIf you're not sure which version you're on, click 'Help' and then 'About Internet Explorer'.Or use Firefox 3.5.5.
