I've seen a thread on another forum that John Holmes the former Leeds RL player has died - is anyone on here able to confirm this?

It seems so. It's on the official website.What a great player. And I recall a great story in the YEP when he rugby tackled a thief on Briggate.RIP.

he played in the henry barron junior side,when my dad was in the seniors.i went to school with his nephew,Lee...whom i believe,now owns peak furniture on harehills lane..remember him,Cnosni??
