Intersting article today on various websites. It looks like their going to re -build the Euston arch using some of the original stone found in a canal in London and also new stone from the original Quarry in Bramley which I believe has now been landscaped over. I wonder how much work would be involved in excavating this stone from the original quarry.

ARRRRRGH! Euston Arch my foot!Actually, there was a piece in the London Lite [freebie] yesterday "Euston Arch Found in River Lea".I give in.And now, to make matters worse, to wind me up, my other half has just said "is it true that there's a planning aplication to rebuild it in its oriinal position......ON EUSTON ROAD"And then the fight started.....

NOW see what you've started!My delightful other half, knowing my fondness for the Euston Arch has just gone and dug yesterdays paper out of the bin.
