Anyone see Leeds on telly last night? It was a programme called Monday Monday. I thought I saw fleeting glimpses of The Palace and The Three Legs.

yes it was set in leeds and there were shots of those pubs as welll as other various sites across the city. Lots of shots across the skyline too. I don't know if it was actually filmed in leeds though, although one scene was on a street outside a house that looked like a typical leeds big terraced house. It reminded me a bit of 'No Angels' which was filmed here too.

Don't know where the 'office' was but plenty of other recognisable shots - feel the house may have been off Kirkstall Road.Rather like Frost - much of the entertainment is identifying the settings used!

Couldn't agree more!mrs ravey thinks the office might be at Headingley Office Park, as apparently it's been used a few times for filming in the last year. Some good quality (presumably HD?) shots of the city centre on show during the programme. Shame there were no "Apprentice" style sweeping aerial shots though.

the location spotting was much more fun than the actual drama...

Monday Monday...and now Who Do You Think You Are? with Chris Moyles. Once again, spot the Leeds locations (at the beginning, anyway.) Nice shot of Simonm's The Albion on Armley Road!

After watching Monday Monday again, mrs ravey and I suspect it might not actually have been filmed in Leeds at all. Shots of the "stars" of the show in locations that can definately be identified as Leeds are so rare as to be non-existant.Lots of shots on that office park (that no-one recognises and could, literally, be anywhere), interspersed with lots of nicely shot scene setting / filler shots around the city centre.Hmmmmm....?

Apparently it was filmed in London. I've just been reading an interview with Fay Ripley in which she says that if it had been filmed in Yorkshire she wouldn't have taken the part as she has young children she didn't want to leave. This morning there has been a BBC film crew at the University of Leeds, filming scenes for a new series of "Five Days" to be screened early next year. They turned the entrance to the School of Computing into "Queen Mary's Hospital". I work at the Uni and one of my colleagues took a photo, which I'll post below.
