Arry sent me an email over the weekend, but this is the first time I have been able to log on, due to work. He's not going to be on this week as he is visiting rellies darn sarf. So for all of you who will miss his cracking repartee, worry ye not. He'll be back bright and breezy next week.He did ask me a favour though to be passed on to your lovely selves.If ANY of you are in the Armley area over the coming weeks, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pop into the Rose n crown at branch road and sign the petition for his daughter and son in law to stay in their job. The letting company are trying to oust them and sell the gaffe from beneath them. They have built up a brilliant pub since they took over, but it looks as if profits are rearing their head and they are to be got rid of. So, lets all help (if your able to) and SIGN THE PETITION. I'll post some images up when I have a bit of time.

Can't you do some sort of on-line petition Simon, for those of us not able to pop to Leeds to do it? The R&C was one of my teenage haunts and I was in there the night my first child/son was born, 10.6.76. So I would love to sign if possible. I could sign my name on a piece of paper and send it.

Popped in and did my bit today. Looks like they could use a lot more signatures yet. The online suggestion is good, but dunno if it's feasible. 'Arry's daughter wasn't there, but she seems to be a gutsy lass. If you do call in at the pub you'll see what I mean.

Hi Gang!Thanks Simon for posting that appeal! I couldn't raise the SLsitelast Sunday before going on Hols.so sent it to you! Good move! Ta!Thanks to UNO HOO for popping in to theR&C. Sharon sez she couldn't read the signature so guess it was you? Mebbe more haveparticipated since? I think they have about 5, A4 sheets full so farso a good effort from all! and Thanksagain!Sharon works Monday to Friday locally during the day,so has something to fall back on,wagewise, should the worst happen!Hope everyone has seen the articles in the YEP over the past week or so?We had a good holiday and feel all the better for it. weatherwas quite sunny most of the week but a bit cold for lying onthe beach! Hope they get plenty more support.Hi again, gang. I spoke to Sharon last night and she says theynow have around 10 A4 sheets full of signatures! They only putone sheet out on the bar at a time, as it gets soaked in JohnSmith's and it rots the paper! lol!
