Some prety awesome gear and resourses in use there and all our poor phill has is a ladder, bit of rope and torches with batteries left over from bonfire night!Whilst these good of course, you know, personally I prefer Phill's offerings, they somehow have that 'natural' feel, rather than that perfectly calculated look about them. A rare talent in my book.

Photography that is fantastic beyond belief and of a totally different style to any I've seen before. The night time is definitely an advantage for clarity.These pictures have made me cast my mind back to the Blitz in WW2 - we are used to seeing street scenes of the devastation in documentaries and in dramas but from street level or near. These pictures though make me realise how utterly miraculous it was that the fire and ambulance services of the time were able to function at all, given the logistics nightmare and the comparatively basic technology - its brought a whole new dimension for me to the horror of what went on in those dark days.Happily the photos show London in the present far less hazardous times (well with certain exceptions). I hasten to add that this view is in no way intended to detract from Phill's equally great but differently approached achievements

The second picture was on the front of the FT and is a fantastic picture.

Absolutely amazing. I'm well impressed with those shots.Wish i could have a go at that.Those shots can't have been to easy to do neither.I'm not really sure how he achieved such clarity at night from a moving Helicopter.Night shots need a little longer exposure so how he managed it i'm not too sure.Great link there

Didn't look like that in 1940
