It looks like it went down sometime on Saturday afternoon.I think LCC might need to reconsider who it uses as the web hosting company of it sattelite websites (all those not on Leeds.gov.uk). While Secret Leeds is a chat forum LeedsLiveItLoveIt and other sites such as FestiveLeeds.com are meant to be advertising Leeds and promoting tourism and commerce. To have these sites down for most the 2nd busiest weekend of the year has probably cost Leeds money.I doubt very much that it took almost 48 hours for the WebHosts to fix the sites it just took until Monday morning for someone to monitor them or respond to reports throughout the weekend that the sires were unavailable. In other words the WebHosts don't have anyone working weekends.I wonder how long we will be without these sites if they "fall over" after 6.00pm on Christmas Eve. It could be almost two weeks on Monday 5th January before they are restored if this weekends anything to go by.

The server appears to be hosted by An Agency Called England (yes, that's their name) who are in turn hosted by KCom, or Hull Telephone Department as they once were. Fortunately I know someone from AACE via another mailing list that I'm on so I'll poke them if it does go down! It's nice to know that the city is keeping it local though - AACE are based at Marshall Mills.

Blimey Simon I had to read that sevretal times before I got it. I thought you were saying that it was just called "England" and it then too a while to work out AACE is "An Agency Called England"Here's the proofhttp://
www.englandagency.com/I wonder how much of the weekend, if any, that site was down over the weekend.LCC might be keeping it local but I'm afraid it didn't do Leeds' image much good at the weekend.

I was actually quite surprised that it was back today It seems to happen every 5 or 6 months, suggests to me that management of monitoring the system by the Host is a little sparse perhaps - can you imagine the consequences if they were hosting an on-line store and that went down at this time of the year with no out of hours cover?
