Yup, lived there for many years, total waste pit.If you get anything like a decent job, you move out.Estates such as this were built upon the egos of town planners who thought that all you had to do to create a community was to put up some buildings. When folk said they simply wanted their own houses maintained, and were happy where they lived, those arrogant social engineering dictators simply condemned the houses and moved everyone out, and destroyed communities that had developed over generations.I remember that Seacroft was supposed to be a new look at social housing, where you could live and shop and hardly ever go out. It was such a big deal that HM came and cut the ribbon on the shopping centre, she even went to my mates next door neighbours for a cup of tea. Many folk were grateful to move out of some slum parts of Leeds, but that was short lived, it didn't take long for folk to feel entitled to social housing, without demonstrating any care or committment or even a will to try and improve their own lot in life. The gimme gimme gimme outsretched-hand generation, which has just multiplied over the years.Spending money on it will never help, until those who live there work to earn it.Don't tell me about all the good folk who live there, I know all about it, it should be much easier to evict the scrotes, but then Seacroft would become a ghost town.
