market district boys club

i wonder if there are any memories of the market district boys club, famous for boxing rugby football cricket table tennis and the first rock n roll dances in leeds, when it was banned everywere.

it produced leeds united player and manager on two occasions peter gunby and brian monk leeds united. rod johnson leeds united steven downes sheffield wed. just a few.

I remember playing U17 RL against them in the sixties. Graham Idle who played in the Bramley team who won the BBC2 Floodlit Comp in 1973 played for them too. He went on to play for Wakefield and Bradford.
