There's an interesting article on the B.B.C website about the lost rails of West Yorkshire for all you rail buffs. The leeds new line amongst others are mentioned. There's links to Daves website as wellhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/bradford/content/articles ... ture.shtml

I followed the link and went on to read the section on the Church Fenton to Harrogate line.I hope you will forgive me for pointing out that Church Fenton Station was NOT on the Leeds to Selby line but on the York & North Midland from Normanton to York. Also the first station from Church Fenton was STUTTON not SUTTON.

Yeah I guess there's the odd error on Daves website there. Strictly speaking that line shouldn't be on the website at all as It's not in West Yorkshire. I think he's done a fantastic job of documenting every line within our region, with the the help of photographic contributors. My hat goes off to him for recording it all for posterity!

Thanks Brandy. Yes I've been a bit quiet but still about. As It happens I have a few nice things coming up. Some light stuff up in the North East midweek and something big, bad and nasty in Bradford at the weekend. Lol. It sounds fun
