I'm in grave danger of setting Simonm off on a Man Utd rant of biblical propotions here That said I'm sure munki will be interested in my latest exploration, I believe he's from the 'wrong side of hill' I recently went under the city to look at the Manchester Cathedral steps. They were landing and loading stages for pleasure boats taking trips along the river Irwell. During the war they were converted into air raid shelters. The public toilets are all still intact dispite closing in 1967. The place is a real forgotten time capsule down there. There are WII signs, and Manchester City Police notices. It's a large complex of tunnels and passage ways that remain unspoilt, due to the fact the place is a real brain puzzler and Fort knox to get in. All access has long been sealed. There are only a handful of people to ever get inside here. It's the ultimate place in the urbex world.I'm sorry it can't be Secret leeds, but it certainly is Secret Manchester.Hope you enjoy!http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... =430373437

B.T.W I was inspired by Wiggy's Tale of two cities post on this trip It is a far, far better thing that I do now, than that I have ever done, and a far better place that I go to than I have ever been.
