I've taken some pictures of old stone gateposts from around the Burley and Kirkstall area. These are on Wyther Lane, canal in the background.

Hi Stevie,There's a pair of monolithic gateposts down the back street of Orchard Street in Otley. They are about 2 ft by 2 ft and 6 ft high. They are so big that a Victorian house has been built around one of them, using it (in situ) as a corner stone.

I like these old gateposts but it really p's me off when peeps decide to paint them a vivid colour or even gloss them. Someone has put hours of work into carving them, have a bit of pride please!
