Some of the small stores are far better than their cheap tatty chain stores, that produce mass tatWe have a cracking store near us. Geo Spence and Son. 99% of it's stock is far better than owt B&Q or such produce. It is a bit dearer, but not by much!

There's a great wee place on Kirk Lane in Yeadon called The Handyman. You can get anything there at a reasonable price and if the bloke doesn't have what you want in stock, he'll get it in for the next day. It kicks the big places into touch.
