A wonderful achievement, and most frustrating I'm sure, to revive the SL site. Somewhere along the line there was some official "sweeping under the carpet" - I received a little myself from a Council department - so many thanks to all who took the time and effort.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

In my case though I have not been well for around 4 weeks now and have only in recent days had a definite improvement. Among other things the worst is a cough that was very bad and often for a while, but now very much reduced. I've been out only when necessary and only in the last few days have felt better enough to go into the centre of Leeds. Judged by the high number of people having coughing spells on the buses it seems I'm not the only one to have (or have had) a bad cough! As is said "It's not the cough that carries you off but the coffin they carry you off in".

I'm so glad SL is back! No more struggling with Facebook - hurrah!!! Mind you, I've suddenly got five hundred new friends I've never met, so it can't be all bad... Hope everyone had a good Christmas, and a Happy New Year to one and all - new and old members alike.PS Hope your recovery continues, Leo. And I hope all is well with Chameleon.

Thanks Si for your kind comment.During the early (thus very infectious to others) period of my cough and cold I stayed in. I think some of those on the buses should have also stayed in judged by their severity of coughing. Many now just cough and make no attempt to contain it by using at least a tissue. It's no wonder that such as coughs/colds readily get passed around. I dread to think how easily it must be to get them from such as contaminated hand rails on buses.
