I've always like him. According to his website at the time he was considered "too old" to fit in with the station's "listener profile" what a load of .....He's witty, clever, understandable, and not self obsessed. Plus of course he's a RL fan so he must be ok.

BBC TV and Radio locally are spouting about new evidencewhich would allow Peter Sutcliffe to be releasedfromPRISON.He is not in prison,he is in a secure mental HOSPITAL.Any new evidence about mental conditions being responsible forhis crimes would suggest he is in the proper place.

It said something about costing the tax payer over 20.000 pounds for him to go to court what a sham.I know we all have rights but he should forfeit all is rights the best place for him is were most of his victims are.I dont suppose every one will agree with me but then we all have a right to our opinions.

I'm opposed to captial punishment. But I'd make an exception in Sutcliffe's case. There are one or two who I'd make an exception for. But my problem (as someone opposed to captial punishment) is where you draw the line between a "mass murderer" and someone who's killed almost accidentally? That was the situation before capital punishment was abolished. There were so many anomalies plus of course there were and are so many examples of convicted killers being pardoned. The Guildford Four, the Birmingham Six and Judith Mary Ward spring immediately to mind.

Tomorrow is the final day for Paul Carrington on Radio Leeds, they appear to be getting shut of him !Do they have some sort of suicidal wish at Radio Leeds, anyone who is any good they get rid of.We are stuck with the crass that is Andrew and Georgie,Johnny and Isma and 'Sick Note Liz Green(i'veput more shiftsin this year than her and I'am retired).Paul had an excellent on air raport with producer Katie, they stamped on that did the 'Management'It really does beggar belief that they are sacking the only top drawer broadcaster that they have.Good luck Paul, you certainly can't go any lower.

Im with you dogduke i listen to Paul every day from about two thirty untill three.Thats when i pick my grandaughter up from school i must add i do not listen to the radio very often but always pick Pauls show your right about Katie i think she used to cringe not knowing what Paul was going to say next.It was not the same without the banter i hope he can do well on Emmerdale has for Liz Green that laugh she has goes right through me as you say there is more work in a junior aspirin.

I daren't say any more about Andrew and Georgey or I could well get into trouble How on earth Liz Green ever completes an "interview" or "phone in call" is beyond me - anyone on the other end of her phone who dares to disagree is verbally abused and humiliated by her in the most arrogant manner, eg, "John! John! John! John! wo! wo! wo! wo! - let's have a conversation !!" Personally I would most certainly attempt to put her in her place and hang up on her. Then there's all her utterly sickening attempts to sound like a trendy alluring teenager - "'av you ever done that - 'av yer ??" and "doesn't do it for me" "Am asking what do you think to **** - CALL ME 0845 303 3333, or you can text 07786 202 NINETY TWO FOUR."The traffic "reports" are just a disaster - all the traffic broadcasters on RL have been wicked, none more so than the present David James who, if he wants a job as a sniggering club turn should get one somewhere - but no, every quarter of an hour we have to strive to listen over the thumping drums to "Morning Georgey, morning Andrew, morning David" before he gabbles without punctuation a load of unitelligible tripe with silly "trendy" terminology - MORE in fifteen minutes !!The Radio station is a self opinionated, own trumpet blowing, incompetent disgrace and really needs licking into shape.
