What about "One smart fellow, he felt smart"? Or whats that other one "Every good boy deserves fudge", or "I slam, you slam, we all slam for islam"..? Some of these are mnemonics, some arent.

My method to remember which way clocks go is that they go back at the back end of the year.     I think we all have our own ways of remembering Leo, mine is Spring Forward, Fall Back. Hi Johnny39. On page 3 of today's YEP it informs people that clocks "go forward by one hour this weekend" (at least the YEP got it right that it is forward, not back!). The YEP added that "The old adage 'spring forward, fall back' is used to serve as a reminder". I wonder if the YEP saw your post.

Ignoring the geographical error, it must have been a mighty powerful lens that could see all the way to the 70's from 1941.....

Find myself getting very frustrated by the online version of this "leading" regional newspaper.Seems they will publish a story inviting reader comment, then suddenly withdraw this facility at will. This kind of censorship is ridiculous and a tad worrying in that it stifles public debate on popular issues.I assume the reason they publish stories with comment availability is the reason for same ?By all means edit anything that may be legally construed as challengeable or totally offensive but I've noticed a tendency to limit comment on particular issues concerning Leeds City Council. If this trend were to continue..........it would be another nail in the head for free speech.I sincerely hope they haven't been "nobbled".
