Can you remember the candles we had to put in the outside lavvy to stop the cistern freezing up.We didn't put them IN the toilet of course but on a convenient ledge or windowsill! One day I paid a visit and noticed the lighted candle had fallen over and the thing had melted over the wooden sill. It had gone out so I relighted it and messed about with it 'til it set fire to the sill ! I really got into a panic and had to get a can from the rubbish, fill it with water from the toilet and pour this over the fire that was starting to develop! Luckily this died the fire out and I breathed a sigh of relief!

Re The Magnificent 700... There was only a small portion of the concert shown on television and I seem to remember it was on the local BBC news one teatime. Sad to say, my parents couldn't afford to buy the LP. I recently looked for it myself on Amazon etc but never thought to try ebay. Now, can anyone out there who has the LP possibly make me a copy on to cd? I will gladly cover the costs.

Caron, I'll see what I can do when I've collected the LP next week, but so far I've failed miserably at converting my cassettes to MP3/CD in anything like decent quality, so I'm not hopeful of managing it with an LP.
