You want to see the riots on an afternoon if you go down Parkside lane to the bottom were the scaffolding place is and wait till they come out of school its like a war zone. I witnessed a fight between an Asian and a Black kid last month and it took 2 cops and 3 teachers to separate them. Like I say its good lunch time entertainment.

I remember some kids hiding-out in the Graveyard at the top of the Quarry. . . If you were from 'Miggy' you didnt go near Holbeck, Beeston+ vice-versa. So why they thought intergrating the 2 areas would work to make 1 school, South Leeds High.,     Post     I'll never understand the logic they used there. Why would compressing two failing schools into one new building suddenly make them into a successful school? The mind boggles.

,LeeRatBag. . . The idea was that it was gunna b a 'super-school' with everything in 1 place. My Son went to Merlyn Reece + had to go to SLHS cos he was staying-on in 6th form. He ended up wasting a year cos he hated it. Had to travel to Rodillian for 1 subject. My daughter is due to start High sch next Sept. I'm praying she gets into Cockburn. ,     Post

Went to John Smeatons - We used to have a few scraps with the Braim Wood lot, God knows why.I remember some lads from East End Park came up a couple of times with blades too. Wasn't used but thats when I realised I was best keeping out of this weird ego-battle!!

I went to Foxwood (1966 - 1972) and we had some beauties against St. Kevs (or so I heard, cos I was a wimp)
