There are only 10 types of people in the world -those who understand binary, and those that don't.

The death nell (to peace and tranquility Brandy, not the development) will be once the Seacroft (A6120) Bypass comes to be - that is still part of the bigger plan and is key to opening-up the ehtire area for further development as planned, moving the greenbelt boundary a mile or so further out

As Chameleon says, the UDP looks for the "edge of the city" to move out to just past the villages of Scholes and Thorner all the way from west of Red Hall to Thorpe Park and the M1 extension. To my (admittedly untrained) eye, there is no way the transport / access plan for this development can work (10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, installing a junction and traffic lights at a point so dangerous that it already has two speed cameras, etc), let alone the environmental impact the development will have, but as is often the case the developer has deep pockets and will be putting maximum pressure on to force this through. It's up to those of us living nearby to try and get it stopped.
