Sorry Rich T, only just seen this, and yes the number of Numpties in 4 x4 ( I have to say BMW X5 and Audi Q7s are the worst) is amazing.Snow driving comes in two extremes, the " i will go slow as i can see snow flakes, and the "lets rev as fast as we can.I will be out playing at the weekend!.Mr T will agree, anything without the green oval just isn't cricket!!( Ahem, the wife drives a japanese 4 x4 ....i'll get me coat)

My current routine:Get up, look out of window and notice it has snowed so much that the path I cleared and gritted last night is covered, again.Go scrape ice and snow off the car, drive to work (held up by numpties who cannot drive).Work. Note empty desks where colleagues who live much closer to the office than I do but who cannot get in "due to the weather" should be sat.Go scrape ice and snow off the car, drive home (held up by numpties who cannot drive).Walk dog, who loves snow (mad animal!)Clear snow off path, put grit substitute down on path to keep it clear.Go to bed.

I would add clear snow from our road for the third time because the council haven't bothered since the Saturday before Christmas.
