I hear that a cobbler and shoe retailer in Cockermouth had to call all his staff in as a result of the floods, in order to rescue stocks of footwear.It was a case of all hands to the pumps!I'm off to Spain for a week tomorrow, so this will be my last word on the topic.In the true spirit of the rhyming slang which keeps the word cobblers alive in modern everyday language:Awls well that ends well
