I have just watched the first story and have to say that the haircut and sideburns were spot on - judging from old photos of myself from that era! Worth watching for that alone!
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!

Did anyone else notice Temple Newsam house doubling up as the secure mental hospital in the last episode?

One thing about the old mental hospitals was they all had a common architectural theme, you knew one when you saw one.To give them their due most of them have been sold off to be turned into flats under care in the community and nowadays are covered with hundreds of sattelite dishes and estate agents signs with STD phone numbers. Those still in service probably can't be used because they might identify someone as mentally ill.
We wanted to make Leeds a better place for the future - but we're losing it. The tide is going out beneath our feet.

I've just received my house deeds after paying the Mortgage off and have been reading through it. I've just noticed that it was built in 1974 by 'John Dawson & Partners (Contractors) Ltd'Now thats a bit of a coincidence!!! Remind me not to go digging too far down in the back garden!
