Yes I agree, he seemed one of the real nice entertainers, not smiles for the camera and another face off air. Nothing is proven yet regarding him anyway.The more you look at it, it just seems to be a sign of the times and culture of that era. I always liked John Peel, but he kept it no secret he liked the schoolgirls, in fact he bragged about it how one used to dress up in uniform just for him. It seems unthinkable now, a statement like that would ruin your career in an instance. But back then it seemed the more young girls you could get, the higher the kudos. In a way it was kind of acceptable when you think about it. You had Benny Hill and Kenny Everett chasing school girls in stockings, St Trinians, the carry on films, and of course who could forget Sally James on Tiswas? Back in the day you could sit upstairs going to work on the bus, smoking your head off, and ogling the page 3 girl in the Sun. Try doing that today
