Oh Dear, judging by the comments made on this article below....the new "sheriff" will be off to a stormy start before he's got time to put on his badge ! The chap he will have to work with is facing some criticism by the looks of it.It looks likely to an outsider, that our local force is going to be in line for some more stick from several sources with the acting appointment mentioned, especially if it becomes permanent. Some pretty strong stuff has been laid at the table for "discussion".http://www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/news/ ... -1-5098405 See comments below the main article....

The deputised temp. seems to be under fire already, so I'm hoping your going find an honest sharp shooter. We don't take kindly to moonshiners round this neck o' the woods.

Judging by the general sense of apathy surrounding this election, I doubt you'll have to wait 4 minutes... I've already voted - by post. Which is nice, as LCC totally screwed up our postal votes at the elections in May, robbing us of our democratic rights.

As a firearms owner, i mailed all of them on their views about privately held firearms and various other questions. That was some days ago and so far i have not had the courtesy of an answer from anybody.I just see it as an extra cost. They are not really independent either.Re Fatty two jags in Hull, as deputy pm, he was scary, showed no restraint at all. Many politicians have had "substances" thrown at them. I cannot recollect anyone of any persuasion reacting like he did.The man is a hypocrite of the highest order.

Has been a strange day today....I was actually walking past the police HQ on Laburnum Rd today around 3.30ish when I think the gentleman(judging by picture) who is tasked with acting as the current Chief was stood outside awaiting interview(camera/lights just being set up)......! I just think this story of our previous chief and the newly(temporary ?) appointed one has a long, long way to run yet.At stake,is the whole reputation of our local force. The stakes are very high indeed. There remains many unanswered questions and allegations about very important matters that have thus far remained as such( unanswered).Several people have nailed their colours most firmly to the mast,a point not lost among us that recognise by doing so,they are very firmly in the spotlight and open to legal intervention should their claims be found to be unsubstantiated. Not an action,I feel, most people would enter into lightly.

This is a yet another story that isn't going to go away soon.....Judging by the comments section, there's a lot of questions that some people are demanding answers to.People are being very open and critical about a range of issues that could affect us all ultimately.Judge for yourselves....many would argue that,if people are going to such lengths to question certain activities within West Yorks Police, then it merits further investigation and comment by the force themselves. So far, they have remained silent....http://www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/news/ ... -1-5098405
