Looked non too similar to one of Alistair darlings eyebrows! The bee was so big that it couldn't get through the kitchen door? OMG. I'm bricking the doors and windows up tomorrow! At this minute there's 5 huge buzzers just mooching round our garden, does anyone know why there's a lot of huge one's about? I've never seen so many.Oh and I have seen a couple of huge jaspers in the last couple of days. Are we in for an infestation?

Yes real strange things afoot with these big buzzers for sure. There's too many sightings on S.L for it to be a one off. I wonder if there a new super breed. Afterall we've had one of the coldest winters for years. It has been a real tough one. I'd have thought it would have killed a lot of over Wintering animals/creatures off. I wonder if these Big Buzzers are a new hardy bunch. Capable of world domination perhaps lol BuzzzzzZZZZZ!!!!

Just seen a couple of huge bumble bees in the back garden. There seems to be a lack of slugs and snails this year so far, too.

They are the Queens coming out of hibernation and looking for somewhere to nest. Action now could save a problem later....Bumble bees - well it is warming up, probably as big a shock to them as it is to us

Yup it was a Queenie in my flat the other day too. Big fat bugger she was, and noisy too. We have a plague of them to come this year methinks!

They seem to favour a little hole at the gable end of my riidge and settle behind the barge boards - hell to get that high when I could keep my balance

You just had to crunch your way through them.
