Just up the road from Pobjee's gardeners' supplies shop!alanlad, I remember a Lyons Cafe on Bond Street in the 1960s, but that part of Bond Street doesn't exist any more as it was turned into Bond Court. The street used to extend beyond the current Bond Street across Park Row down the side of the old Museum (now HSBC!) and connected with the junction of Infirmary Street and East Parade.

I can't recall exactly but I think it might have been in the late 1960's or early 1970's there was a coffee bar on the Grand Theatre side of New Briggate where the shops are off the Headrow. When it opened I recall that it was very expensive. I think it did not last that long. I cannot remember its name. Someone may recall it if only because the price for a coffee was so expensive.
