I may be wrong but on recent occasions I've found that the (Y)EP does not appear to be sold in Keighley or Huddersfield - very strange. I should add that the purchase is intended daily for my elderly neighbour - its a long time since I bought it for myself.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

The only thing remotely relevant to "evening" these days is the fact it is entirely completed the evening before intended publication.Example, Friday's Evening Post will have been finished by 5pm-ish on Thursday, printed overnight in Dinnington, South Yorkshire, and ferried up to Leeds in time for 9am on the Friday morning. If a plane crashed into the centre of Leeds on Friday morning that day's "evening" paper wouldn't be able to even dream of covering it.

This was particularly noticeable after the recent earthquake.Earthquake in Leeds and the following day's evening paper didn't mention it!Can you imagine what would happen if war broke out - it would be over before the EP reported it!

I was just going to try to do the Prize Crossword on page 28 of the YEP today (Feb 1st) but I cannot do it as the grid does not match the clues! It's not the first time in recent weeks that a crossword grid in the YEP has not matched the clues. Some sloppy checking is going on (if any at all).

LCC have stopped producing the weekly lists in the old format and now present the search under Open Access which takes an age of seperate searches to obtain an overview - doesn't lend itself to simple replication in a readable way - users such as the YEP would need to spend time and effort to reformat the data to do that
