Watched it too S 'n P - excellent programme. It goes to prove that throughout history good men who have stood by and done nothing in the face of evil have helped it prevail.

I was in Morecambe yesterday, and saw a copy of Jimmy Savile's now notorious 1974 autobiography. It was a hardback copy as well.Looking at the prices people are currently asking for the paperback edition of it on ebay,I missed a trick not buying it!
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

The 'Report' has:-"..collated all the (key word) >ALLEGATIONS< against Savile irrespective of where the (wait for it) >OFFENCES< took place.."?The report is called 'Giving Victims a Voice'. The inquiry has not challenged any accusation it received. No one dare challenge it. The NSPCC has enhanced it's Fiefdom. The Police with Yewtree have moved from dull indifference to action.Still nothing new though. But 214 "incidents" (allegations?) have now been formally recorded as "crimes".Does this enhance someone's detection rate/target by clearing up 214 notional, unproved crimes.Sounds like a lazy quick fix and wants to be nice.

An inquiry which grants the status of victim purely on a person's say-so lacks the objectivity required to discover the truth. The police (and members of the NSPCC) who have produced this report are unfit to investigate any crime whatsoever.

Drapesy - please allow others the courtesy of their opinion (as we do you)Far from it drapesy !That's not really the point at all.The point is akin to the current 'reality' that =not a single Liverpool fan was 1. drunk 2.violent or 3. attacked the 2 ambulancemen (I knew) trying to revive a dying man at Hillsboro. If I dropped Yewtree a line to say he collared me on cross country in Roundhay Park (he didn't) then there'd be 215 crimes.Only there wouldn't. Or do you say there would?
